After 25 years, The Nobelity Project is launching our last and lasting effort - Nobelity Legacy Endowments at three universities. With considerable help from the Austin community, we’ve far exceeded our goals and are now partnering to create permanent Scholarship Endowments that will support students in becoming global leaders for many generations to come.
Dedan Kimathi University Kenya ($100,000 goal)
Over a hundred college students in Kenya have graduated with TNP scholarship programs. Having been a proven partner in student success DeKUT is now launching this long-term endowment that will support smart students in Kenya to gain the skills to be the leaders of tomorrow.
Huston Tillotson University / HT ($150,000 goal)
The Nobelity Environmental Justice Endowment at HT will be the first scholarship program for this major. These scholarships celebrate Nobel Peace laureate Wangari Maathai’s environmental and social justice efforts, and her inspiration for our work through her appearance in Nobelity. HT, the oldest institute of higher learning in Austin, is in a rapid growth phase, and has an excellent record of employment after graduation.
UT Austin - ($250,000 goal) with a 1:1 Match from UT
The Nobelity Global Studies Endowment is in UT’s International Relations and Global Studies (IRG) program. Our scholarships will go to high-scoring students from low income families. UT already guarantees these students will have tuition and fees covered, and our scholarships will enable them to afford the costly room and board aspects of study in Austin. The UT match is an excellent opportunity, and the endowment will grow over time.
