CURRENT GROWTH
  • Oloile Primary Preschool supported by “Light Work for Kenya” ART SHOW September 7th, 2024 at Paggi House at the Loren Hotel featuring Julie Speed, Terry Allen, Bob Schneider, Evan Voyles, Darden Smith, Sam Yeates, Gareth Maguire and more.

  • The Thomas Giamboi Legacy Library at Partakilat Primary,  the last of his many  school visits.
​
  • Junior Secondary Classrooms with Mahiga and Mwangaza to accomodate Kenya's updated  school system. The Star reports, "At least 1.2 million pioneer JSS learners across the country are expected to join Grade 7 under the new CBC [Competency Based Curriculum] system."

Since 2015, The Nobelity Project has partnered with 67 Kenyan rural schools, building 166 classrooms, 40 preschools, 38 libraries, 26 water systems, 22 science and computer labs, 9 kitchens and dining halls, 3 dorms and 3 athletic facilities and much more. These schools are attended by 20,000+ students every year, and scores continue to climb.

Our university scholarship program has put nearly 100 top-scoring high school grads through college, often the first in a family. Plus job training and $100k+ in tuition support for other scholars. 

​

Literacy partners like Start a Library Trust help put books in hands. Systems like ARES offline digital libraries, close the gap on access to quality education. Arts & Athletics Programming install basketball courts and send traditional dance teams to regionals. Nearly $25k Critical Needs Grants have been disbursed and $50k toward eco-action initiatives.

The 2024 Pirates Cup in Austin supported global literacy partners like Start a Library Trust, BookSpring, and PIER. Become a Sustaining Member to join exclusive Giving Circle happy hours and other intimate events in the city.

We work with local orgs and Central Texas schools to empower students to make connections with their peers around the world. Connecting communities through our film, Building Hope for 6th graders at the historic Paramount Theatre, followed by a live call on the big screen with Kenyan students. Look under Teaching Resources for free lesson plans to accompany our films, which you can watch for free​ at home or with your classroom.

Our Social Impact Award with the UIL Young Filmmakers Competition awards classroom film equipment for impactful student shorts. We sponsor CapCityKids school supplies program with AISD's Project Help to provide at-risk kids basic school needs to increase attendance​.

For years we've worked on and off with various partners in and around Honduras and Mexico on conservation education and improved literacy. 

​

On the small island of Roatán, two school buses have been converted to bookmobiles. These help supplement all of the schools schools on the Honduran islands of Roatán and Santos Guardiola with library books and lesson plans. Our longtime friends at Partners in Education Roatan (P.I.E.R.) continue to report test scores are up!

And in the mountains of Michocan, we support the work of Altenare and Monarch Watch to conserve their mariposa refuge. Check out Turk's short film Monarchs: The Milkweed Mission to learn what you can do to help save this butterfly species. We also work with a small high school in Macheros, we are humbled by this sweet video our partners made tracking the construction progress!
