2018 progress is underway!

Thanks to your support of our programs, our small but mighty team is digging in and building hope. Together we are providing:

  • Places to learn and grow like libraries, dorms and classrooms

  • Access to basic resources like clean water and safe toilets

  • Global connections through film, events, and sponsorships

  • We've just gotten home from a jam-packed trip to Kenya, checking on projects at 15 schools and meeting with all our community partners. Here are a few highlights from our year so far.

Laburra Library is just one of 4 new centers of learning we opened in Spring 2018. Filled with books funded by Turk's Book-of-the-every-other-month Club and provided by Kenyan publishing partner Story Moja, over 2000 students are using their first school libraries. Want to Join the Club? Get books to give books on Turk's Indiegogo page.

Ribbon cuttings and school wide celebrations marked new classrooms, kitchens, more libraries, dormitories, clean water systems and toilets! TNP provides the facilities for more than 10,000 students annually to help insure they get an education.

Ol Moran Preschool is our 23rd preschool with #24 and #25 already in the works! An average of over 60 students attend each school, every year. The impact is early and ample. And they are SO MUCH FUN!

This year 15 students will join our Jumpstart Scholars program to continue their educations past high school. These tuition grants make a critical difference by providing support through their first years to get them launched.

The Nobelity Social Impact Award

In partnership with The Paramount Theater and the University Interscholastic League, The Nobelity Project created this new prize for young Texas Filmmakers. Watch the winning short films and see how these kids are addressing issues of social change. Thanks to Eloise DeJoria and JPs Peace, Love and Happiness Foundation.

Building Global Connections

One of our favorite programs of the year! In April 1,000 Central Texas sixth graders in the Paramount Academy for the Arts program came to the theater to watch films about social change and meet students in Kenya via a ZOOM video call. Creating kid-to-kid connections brings us all a little closer together. Next one is October 9, 2018 at 10am. Come by and join the fun! Supported by the Louisiana Charitable Trust and the Bebee Family.
